Its Marissa here, I wanted to share a little highlight gem I came across and has been a summer favourite. I've been in love with my Mary Lou Manizer by the Balm highlight for awhile now but wanted to change things up. I've been drooling of Becca X Jaclyn Hill Champagne pop highlighter but I'm not willing to part with £35 just yet, as you can tell I've been in the market for a new highlight. I came across the UK makeup brand Sleek and their Solstice highlight palette which seemed to be on many beauty bloggers favourites list including Jaclyn Hill, Carli Bel, Jeffrey Star and Jennie Jenkins to name a few.
Comes in a beautiful, mirrored rose gold compact (brush shown is my eco tool brush, not included with the palette)
The palette comes with 4 shades
- Ecliptic - Luxurious cream highlight in bronze luster with shimmer
- Hemisphere- Baked power highlight in lilac shimmer
- Subsolar- Silky shimmer powder highlight in light yellow shimmer
- Equinox - Baked power highlight in rose gold shimmer
Comes with 2 baked powders,1 silky simmer power, 1 cream formula highlighter and a black application brush.
And true to its name this palette gives our sun, moon and stars a run for their money.
Sleek is a UK high street brand that has built itself for over 20 years. I have to admit I was very dismissive about this product at first, as sleek makeup always reminded me of when my girls and I started playing with makeup 14-15 years ago. Lack of colours, coverage and durability all reflected in the low price. But I have to put my hands up and bow down, sleek have definitely stepped up their game in recent years especially with this sun goddess, their solstice highlight palette.
Beautiful pigmentation all with 1 swipe, great for all skin types for face and body. Mix and match the colours or wear them individually.
I barely had to dab my brush in to the palette to get fantastic colour pay off. I also got great wear from it on a super hot day at a garden summer BBQ, taking turns on a bouncy castle till the wee hours of the morning. By the time we got home at 3am it wasn't as prominent as when I first applied it but definitely visible. Not bad for 10 hours wear, and all four highlighter shades for £9.99GBP sold in-store and online GET YOURS HERE!
